This grant was created in 2017 and pays tribute to the basque mountaineer Xabier Ormazabal, who died on Cho Oyu in 2004. The grant seeks to help young mountaineering talents. All kinds of projects are presented: from large expeditions to guides, books and audiovisuals. Mendi Film joins the sponsorship of the Xabier Ormazabal Beka in 2025.
