It was the summer of 1906, when the arrival of Norwegian Hafdan Magnus Mustad in Tolosa changed not only the life of this town in Gipuzkoa, but also the history of sport. Mustad decided to locate his factory there, and the Norwegian workers brought wooden skis with them in their luggage. When Tolosa residents such as Isaac López Mendizábal saw the Norwegians skiing for the first time, they decided that they too should be part of that experience. Thus, Norwegians and Basques joined forces and founded Spain's first ski club, the Ski Club Tolosano, the seed of a journey marked by milestones that continue to this day.
