Ice climbing champions Louna and Tristan Ladevant, together with renowned mountaineer Mathieu Maynadier, form an unusual and delightfully entertaining team. Among their ambitions is a bold challenge: to free-climb one of the hardest routes on the North Face of the Grandes Jorasses, the ‘Directe de l’Amitié’, first climbed fifty years ago by a band of unconventional mountaineers. The film follows the three friends through the many obstacles on their journey to success, united by a shared belief: extreme mountaineering, from one generation to the next, can be pursued with joy and a light-hearted spirit.
