The photograph "X-Man" is the main image of our edition this year, it has won the BBK Mendi Film Bilbao Bizkaia 2023 poster award in the CVCEPHOTO contest. It is the work of the Bilbao photographer Gonzalo Bartolomé Tierra 'Yhabril Moro', who has made "the dream" of winning this award "come true".
It's a photograph taken in the well-known waterfall of Sorrosal, in Ordesa, in autumn. "It was a dark and humid day and I was quickly struck by this composition in which the white of the waterfall stood out a lot against that background and that close-up of X-shaped rock textures," says the author. The runner who appears in the photograph is Chano, a friend whom Yhabril called while contemplating that scenario and who came to carry out the session in a few hours.
