CVCEPHOTO announces the winners of its 4th edition in a beautiful act at the Teatro Principal of Donostia-San Sebastián. Among them, the work of the Austrian-Swiss photographer Rainer Eder Learning to Fly, Bilbao Mendi Film Festival 2018 Poster Award, and from now on the official image of the Mendifilm's 11th edition (7-16 December 2018).

Trento (Italy), May 2nd 2018. An extremely important figure whose cinematographic career, in parallel to his mountaineering career, has always moved in innovative directions. The award was announced today during Trento Film Festival. The official awarding ceremony will take place during Mendi Film Festival 7-16 December 2018.
Ever since the founding of the International Alliance for Mountain Film (IAMF) in February 2000, its members have been interested in celebrating those who, through their talent, have changed the world of mountain film. IAMF members wish to express their gratitude to the filmmakers, directors and producers who have contributed throughout their careers – through loyalty and dedication, and with little regard for personal profit — to the evolution of mountain film into the prominent genre that it is today.
Bilbao Mendi Film Festival opens the film registration period for its 11th edition, to be held between December 7 and 16. The producers, directors and directors interested, must submit their works before September 15.
Once again the time has come for all of you who love mountains and films to sit back and considerer how you are going to be able to come with your work and share it with an eager and passionate audience in a land reputed for both its mountains rising from the sea, it’s gastronomy and people.

Among the prizes offered, the Bilbao Mendi Film Festival Poster Award, worth 700 euros and the honor of being the official image of the 2018 edition of the Mendi Film Festival, is announced for the second consecutive year.

After the screening of 51 films of the Official Selection over the past 9 days, the Jury made up of Jesús Mari Lazkano, Nancy Rosenthal, Jack Tackle, Paul Urkijo and Deb Smythe have decided to award the Grand Prize of the Bilbao Mendi Film Festival 2017 to Dirtbag: The Legend of Fred Beckey.
Peter Habeler will receive the the Award of the The Walk On Project (WOP) 2017 a la defensa de los valores del alpinismo, el tributo de la 10ª edición del Bilbao Mendi Film Festival, el reconocimiento a su admirable trayectoria. Este evento se celebrará en una sesión especial del Mendi Film Festival el sábado 16 de diciembre, a las 19.30h, en la Sala BBK, que se titulará La Noche de Peter Habeler.
