Pakistani writer Bina Shah will talk about women of their country: their struggles, their hopes and dreams, their triumphs and tragedies. Using examples of Pakistani society, including the life of Malala Yousufzai, the fighter pilot Ayesha Farooq, and the Oscar-winning film director Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy, Bina Shah explore the positive effect of telling stories of girls and women. Either through the media, literature, poetry and art, or through the work of organizations that educate and train women and girls, Shah will explore the importance of visibility of models Pakistani women. After the conference the Oscar-winning short film of Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy, A Girl in the River: The Price of Forgiveness will be shown.
The II health meeting is organized by Bilbao Mendi Film Festival and Ekin, the research group who study the health in mountain injuries. In this occasion there will be two sessions, one will be focus on food and mountain, which mainly treat the most common diseases in mountain sports and latest trends in the physical therapy, dietary and sports performance in mountain and among other topics and professionals will also be a practical cook demonstration with Zigor Iturrieta, cooker and mountain running.
The other session will be about bandage applied to mountain sports, focus on the most frequent injuries and its bandages. The session will be with Andoni Ormazabal and Xeber Iruretagoiena.

On February 26 of 2016, Alex Txikon, Ali Sadpara and Simone Moro making history when they arrived at the top of Nanga Parbat (8.126m) and conquering the so-called 'Killer Mountain' in the coldest season and crossing the border penultimate eigth thousanders winter.
In this joint conference, Txikon and Sadpara will discuss about the technical aspects of this latest feat, and will tell their most intimate reflections about the success and failure. They also show photographs and audiovisual material, through which viewers will feel like they are in one of the most inhospitable places on Earth.

He has explored and climbed mountains all over the world, being author of multitude of legendary climbs: Mont Blanc (first ascent in the central pillar of Freney in 1961), Eiger (north wall in 1962), Patagonia (central Tower of Paine in 1963), or the Himalayas (19 expeditions, including four to Mount Everest). Sir Chris Bonington was appointed Commander of the Order of the British Empire in 1976, and among many other distinctions last year he was honoured receiveing the Piolet d’Or Carrière – Walter Bonatti Prize.
The BMFF has presented several documentaries in which Bonington is protagonist, such as The Old Man of Hoy in 2014, and the biographical Chris Bonington: Life and Climbs. In this 2016 edition BMFF wants to offer him a warm tribute by giving him the WOP Award.
