It is difficult to find a more desolate and hostile place than Karakorum in winter. Two generations of alpinists will try to climb Laila Peak, a spectacular needle of over 6,000 metres. For weeks, they will work together to defy storms and fierce winds with temperatures of 30 degrees below zero; but above all, they will reflect about lives of love and passion towards the mountains.
