The map of artist Jesus Mari Lazkano’s last trip to the Svalbard archipelago in the North Pole rests on his drawing table. That map, all crumpled and ripped, conceals and treasures the entire trip. It has become a form of mental cartography, painting and drawing territory and a new and exciting space for the imagination.
