‘The oldest ski shop in America’ celebrates its 100th birthday. It is the offspring of the Lahouts, a family from Lebanon that emigrated to the North Country region, north of the White Mountains, and made skiing popular. The shop has always remained open since 1920. The future of the premises depends on upcoming generations, and in particular on the special relationship between the wise and dedicated grandfather and patriarch Joe Lahout ─a man born in that shop and who gave up skiing at 90─ and his grandson Anthony.
