INTERNATIONAL PREMIERE
During the austral summer of 2015, Adolfo Madinabeitia (Salvatierra)travelled to Patagonia in the Argentine. Among other mountains, he climbed Fitz Roy via the Afanassieff route. It was love at first sight and he was completely "Patagonised". Year after year he returned to El Chalten climbing other minor peaks until in 2020 he closed the circle with the ascent of Cerro Torre. Fitz Roy and Cerro Torre, the queen and the king of his own particular chessboard.
